New Business Development Representative - Full Time

About the Job

The New Business Development Representative role is a vital position in the success of Omega Systems, as he/she is responsible for providing qualified leads which ultimately become converted to sales as well as documenting customer activities.  The New Business Development Representative role is responsible for lead generation, business development, email and telephone campaigns, customer documentation and more.  

Responsibilities:
  • Business to Business cold calling
  • Perform variety of sales activities to generate qualified leads to meet sales production goals, including lead generation, qualification, follow-ups and set-up meets for outside sales executive
  • Generate outbound calls over the telephone and email correspondence to cultivate leads for products and/or services associated with the offerings of Omega Systems; follows specified instructions in the delivery of sales messages
  • Effectively utilize and update CRM (SalesForce.com) database
  • Maintain daily/weekly/monthly productivity and metric goals, as provided by management
  • Prepare routine periodic production and activity reports as required
  • Perform miscellaneous job-related duties as assigned
Minimum Requirements:
  • Minimum of 1-3 years of sales/appointment setting experience
  • Technology background is a plus
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Disciplined approach to developing new accounts
  • Telephone sales skills; very personable phone personality required
  • Analytical abilities to determine best approach to clients on an individual basis
  • Ability to follow routine verbal and written instructions
  • Ability to meet and/or exceed established sales targets
  • Ability to gather data, compile information and prepare reports
  • Strong selling skills
  • Excellent interpersonal, organizational and communications skills
  • Ability to work in fast-paced, high energy environment
  • Intermediate skill level in Microsoft Word, Excel and Outlook
