On Dec. 9, 2021 the Log4J vulnerability (AKA Log4Shell) was identified as being exploited in the wild. The subsequent investigation revealed the exploitation of the vulnerability impacts nearly all of the internet, making this vulnerability rank “SEVERE”. Omega Systems has been working diligently to identify and remediate systems susceptible to the vulnerability known as Log4J.

This weekend’s FBI Email Hack; Worrisome or Much Ado About Nothing?

Over the weekend (Saturday, November 13, 2021), Omega Systems’ SOC specialists investigated a threatening “.gov” email sent to one of our customers. Our customer was just one of among tens of thousands who received the email, warning recipients of an FBI breached cyberattack.

SigRed DNS Vulnerability Alert & Response

Omega Systems UPDATED COVID-19 Service Plan (4/20-4/24)

Omega Systems continues to monitor the status of COVID-19 and orders issued by the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania. On April 15th the PA Department of Health issued new orders for Pennsylvania business and residents to reduce the rapid spread of COVID-19 from person to person in the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
