Reading, PA (JULY 10, 2023) – Omega Systems, a portfolio company of Pfingsten Partners and award-winning managed service provider (MSP) and managed security service provider (MSSP), today announced it has appointed its next CEO and COO to succeed co-founders Bill and Jen Kiritsis.
Mike Fuhrman will serve as the company’s next chief executive officer. After an extensive search, Omega’s board and leadership team selected Fuhrman for his strong technology background as well as his commitment to fostering a people-centric culture.
After 21 years, Omega’s co-founders, Bill and Jen Kiritsis, will be taking a step back from day-to-day operations. Over the past 18 months, Bill’s role has shifted to focus significantly on growing Omega through mergers and acquisitions. After three successful transactions in 2022, both Bill and Jen will be transitioning into roles to provide advisory to Omega’s board on M&A, integration and other strategic objectives.
The company completed its first three acquisitions last year, merging in ACE IT Solutions, PICS ITech and The TNS Group and strengthening the organization’s operations across the Northeast U.S.
Fuhrman joins Omega from Flexential, a hybrid IT solutions provider, where he was COO and oversaw the company’s Cloud and Managed Services business. Prior to Flexential, Fuhrman held various IT operations and product development roles for leading technology organizations and sustained an impressive track record for scaling business models, driving go-to market strategies and managing global teams. He is a graduate of The Citadel, where he is a member of the executive advisory board for the School of Engineering.
“I couldn’t be more energized to join the incredible team at Omega Systems,” said Fuhrman. “They’ve not only demonstrated impressive growth and stability in an increasingly competitive MSP industry, but they’ve done so while maintaining their core values and strengthening their commitment to customer service. I’m thrilled to join the organization at such an exciting and pivotal time and to continue driving the kind of IT innovation and personalized service delivery that Omega is so well-known for.”
Ben Tercha has been appointed Omega’s next chief operating officer. Tercha has been with Omega Systems for more than 17 years, mostly recently serving as SVP of Operations. For nearly two decades, he’s been integral to shaping the company’s product and service offerings, including the development and architecture of Omega’s privately managed, SOC 2 certified data center. His expertise extends to both internal and customer-facing operations, and he is regularly sought after as an industry thought-leader, sharing his insight and perspectives on topics such as cloud security, regulatory compliance and cyber risk management.
Earlier this year, Omega also welcomed Jeff Egol as CFO. Egol joined the company in December 2022 as part of the acquisition of The TNS Group and leads the financial operations for the entirety of the Omega Systems family of companies.
According to founding CEO Bill Kiritsis, this leadership change signals the next wave of Omega’s growth.
“It’s been an honor to lead this organization for the last 21 years and watch us grow from our humble beginnings into a world-class MSP,” said Kiritsis. “Mike, Ben and the rest of our executive team are exceptional leaders and are passionate about accelerating growth while staying true to our vision and culture. Jen and I couldn’t be leaving Omega in better hands, and we’re excited to remain involved in the organization and witness its continued growth and evolution.”
